On Saturday, 24th February 2024, the Deen Show Foundation (DSF) hosted a spiritually uplifting Islamic Conference at Masjid Kebba Conteh in Serrekunda, gathering believers in a shared effort to prepare hearts and minds for the blessed month of Ramadan.
The theme of the conference, “How to Welcome Ramadan”, was thoughtfully delivered by the distinguished guest speaker, Shaykh Muhammad Al-Amin Kawsu Trawally. In his powerful lecture, Shaykh Trawally reminded attendees of the significance of this sacred month as a divine opportunity for purification, self-discipline, sincere repentance, and drawing closer to Allah (SWT). He emphasized the importance of entering Ramadan with renewed intentions, spiritual readiness, and a firm commitment to righteousness and compassion.
Adding depth and insight to the program was Shaykh Ali Cham, who further elaborated on the virtues of Ramadan, the role of community solidarity, and the immense rewards that come with fasting, charity, and nightly worship.
The session was gracefully moderated by Shaykh Musa Jallow, whose facilitation ensured a smooth and engaging experience for all attendees. His thoughtful guidance helped weave the key messages into a cohesive and impactful session.
The turnout at the Masjid was a testament to the community’s eagerness to grow in faith and knowledge. It was not just a conference but a moment of reflection and reawakening—a reminder that the arrival of Ramadan is not merely a change of calendar but a divine invitation to transform ourselves.
DSF extends sincere appreciation to all who attended, especially the scholars who honoured the invitation and enriched the gathering with their wisdom. May Allah (SWT) bless them, accept their efforts, and allow us all to witness and benefit fully from the upcoming Ramadan.
We pray that such events continue to inspire positive change and spiritual growth in our communities.
